About
I am the third child in a family of four, with two older sisters and a younger brother. We grew up in the Northwest, raised on the outdoors and helping others.
I went to the University of Arizona and spent the next fifteen years in management at all levels. All throughout that career, I spent much of my time developing my employees and being their counselor when they sought help. I learned that counseling was my passion and that helping others reach their full potential was much more rewarding than management.
I went through some life changes during that time. My PTSD was unmanageable and so was my life. I discovered EMDR and it changed my life. After completing EMDR, I wanted to be able to give back to others what was given to me.
During that time I met my wife and went back to school at Western Washington University for two years to get a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services and then to Northwest University where I received by Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology. We adopted a baby boy and created our wonderful family.
I worked in community mental health as a therapist, specializing in trauma therapy, especially EMDR. I then went to work for a drug and alcohol treatment center as a therapist. I currently work in private practice Monday through Friday, seeing clients in person or on telehealth, which ever my clients prefer.
